1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Checkout Websites ("we", "us", "our") and the purchase of web design services from Checkout Websites Ltd. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms in full.
2. Services
We provide professional website design, development, and related digital services as described on our website and in your order confirmation. The specific deliverables, timeline, and price are confirmed at the point of order.
3. Orders and Payment
All orders require full payment in advance unless a written payment plan has been agreed. Prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. We accept major debit/credit cards and bank transfer. Your build slot is only confirmed upon receipt of cleared payment.
4. Timelines
Build timelines begin from the later of: (a) cleared payment received, or (b) all required content and assets supplied by the client. We are not liable for delays caused by late or incomplete content provision. Emergency and Express timelines require all assets and brief information to be submitted within 24 hours of order.
5. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for providing accurate brief information, timely feedback during the revision period, and any content, images or brand assets necessary for the build. You warrant that any materials you supply do not infringe third-party intellectual property rights.
6. Revisions
All plans include one full revision round. A "revision round" constitutes a single consolidated set of change requests submitted after the first preview delivery. Additional rounds are available at our standard revision rate. Requests outside the original brief scope may incur additional charges.
7. Ownership and Intellectual Property
Upon receipt of full payment, you own 100% of the completed website — including all code, design assets and content created by us specifically for your project. We retain the right to display completed work in our portfolio. Stock images, fonts and third-party libraries remain subject to their respective licences.
8. Hosting
Where hosting is included, it is provided for 12 months from the launch date. After this period, hosting renews at the published rate. We reserve the right to suspend hosting for non-payment after written notice. Hosting does not include unlimited email accounts; email is provided via third-party services.
9. Domain Names
Where we register a domain on your behalf, it is registered in your name and transferred to your control upon completion. Annual renewal fees apply after year one unless you transfer management elsewhere. We are not responsible for domain names that expire due to non-renewal.
10. Limitation of Liability
Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the total fees paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or economic losses including but not limited to loss of profit, loss of business, or loss of data.
11. Cancellations
Please refer to our Refund Policy for full cancellation and refund terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by English law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
